Qtr 4 Offsite Meeting at Avillion, PD (20th & 21st September 2007)

After the last offsite meeting in April, again, my principal organized the last quarter offsite meeting in PD. We, as the distributor were invited to join the meeting as well as to present some performance slides to them.

I was quite excited and looking forward for the trip as it has been awhile since my last break. Even though it is not consider as a holiday break, well at least it is out from the office. A lot of people said Avillion is a nice place so far in PD when I told them that I’ll be going there for the offsite meeting. I carried a lot of hope and expectation to go there but when I reached there, hmm…a bit of disappointed. It was really out of my expectation. Maybe I set too high but I do enjoy the relaxing time there at night when I rested near the poolside. I like the balcony of the chalet that I stayed which is facing the sea. I like the winds that blow to me & the sound of waves. Just that, the time is too short. The only time that I spent at the beach was during the teambuilding. We only stayed a night and the next day was a full day meeting. :)

(This is the last teambuilding that we had..which is called "The married Turtle" and the winner is.. the last couple lor..Why? Because they looked more like a turtle and have more decorations. Congrats Chandra and Evelyn..the newly wed couple..haha...)

(This is the water chalet that we stayed. Nice? Beautiful? Actually this kind of chalet is good for couples to stay. Quite romantic place...btw, they have an open bathroom too.. hehe.. )

Minor Accident ;(

My initial plan for today was actually working. But my sis asked me a favor to baby-sit her children while she goes out to do some stuff. Therefore, I changed my plan to bring my car for service first then I will head to my sis house.

I was late when I finished servicing my car cuz my sis asked me to be at her house by 1pm. I drove out quickly and coincidently I drove to a wrong way. I then make a big round to bring me back to the right path. As I drove along the straight lane, suddenly I saw a motorcyclist came out from left junction without stopping. I was stunned and thinking whether to stop or not to stop but it was too late. The motorcyclist banged on my bumper and he fell down. I was terrified and scared when I looked at the rear mirror. I quickly reversed my car to check on him. He had his leg and hand scratched but he looks okay, just a bit shocked I guess.

I kept on asking him if he is okay and he said he is okay. I thought of bringing him to the nearest clinic but he said he wants to go back to his workshop to punch card first. So I followed him to the workshop and he parked his motorbike. As I was also rushing time to my sis house, I gave him RM50 to see a doctor. When I gave him RM50, he looks like he wanted to have more and saying that he need to repair his motorbike. I was like hey come on, it was actually not my fault but out of my compassionate heart, I gave him money to see doctor. I believe I have done the right thing. If he said he needs to repair his bike but what about my car?

In the end, he also accepted my money. Thank God that the man is not seriously injured, otherwise I might need to pay him more.

Not Well

Have been awhile that I didn’t get sick. But this time I was sick for almost a week. Firstly sore throat and then followed by cough and flu. Thank God despite these sicknesses that I have, I still able to go to work. Sometimes I also think I’m silly and stupid. When people sick they want to take mc and rest at home. But when I’m sick, I still want to work. Maybe I’ve already had serious work-illness that I cannot stop working. Haha…

Well, this week for me is kind of tough and busy. I have a few meetings to attend and at the same time work have been coming in and deadline is near. On the other hand I also need to do some alignment of my heart. This is the hardest part but I know i can do it. Don't worry.

The beginning and the end of 21 day fast and pray.

It was indeed a very good and meaningful experience that I have ever had. Pastor has called out a 21 day fast and prayer from 13th Aug till 2nd Sept ’07. This is to prepare ourselves to the new place called the Dream Centre. It is located at Sect 13 now. You may see the pictures below to take a look at our new church. ;)

During this 21 day fast and pray, Pastor also encourage us to come for the morning prayer which starts from 5.30am to 7am everyday to pray together. Initially my sister and I were reluctant to go cuz it is too early, we don’t know whether we are able to wake up at this time. But we were encouraged by cell group members and so we start our journey.

The first day we went, my sis and I were thinking how would it be attending church at this early hour? Will there be many people turn up? But as soon as we reached church, we were astonished! The parking lot was full with cars and people were rushing in to the church. Wow, it’s so amazing and we felt so encouraging ever since that day. I’m so touched to see so many people, young and old, parents bringing their babies along and I even saw one disabled person coming with a wheelchair. They were all willing to sacrifice their sleeps and come to church to worship and pray to God. Praise the Lord!

My sister and I were so happy that we can be part of this family to do something for church and for God. During this 21 day fast and pray, we encountered hardship, problems and temptations but praise God that in the end, we see breakthroughs. We felt the hungriness and heat for God, looking forward to seek Him every morning. It’s just a good experience that we have ever had with God. A lot of my friends and family members said that we are silly waking up so early to go to church but they will not know what we have gain.

Moving on to my new decade!!

In two days time, I will be officially 30 liao.. ;) A friend asked how would I feel turning to 30?? Hmm..i felt nothing special other than, yea..another year older. To me age is just a number. The most important thing is that how you live your life. No matter how long you'll live, but if you are not happy, what's the point, right?


I'm a person who easily get satisfied & happy and I'm a very blessed person too. God has been so good to me from the day I was born. When I was in school, I don't really like to study but God has brought me up to at least SPM & college. When I entered to the working society, I was afraid of the political, unfriendly colleagues and fierce bosses, but God has given me one word "GOOD"!! Everything seems so good & smooth. No politic, friendly & helpful colleagues & protective bosses. Most of the bosses that I worked with were very helpful & willing to share their experience with me, especially my current boss. I have really learned a lot of from her.


Anyway, today I was quite touched. The secretary bought a cake to celebrate all the July's babies. There were altogether 5 of us. During lunch time, one of my colleagues in different department personally cooked chicken rice for me. I was so surprised cuz we are supposed to eat out but she surprised me with her home cook food. So nice of her. After that I have another cake cutting ceremony. One day cut 2 times.. haha... not bad not bad.


Tomorrow there'll be another celebration with my ex-colleagues and I'm really looking forward too. It has been awhile that we didn't meet up. Hope we will have a fruitful gathering. ;)


As for my actual day, this will be my family's turn. My lovely sisters had planned the outing for me. Well, we'll see. ;)


I just want to take this chance to thank God for what He has blessed me with. I hope moving on to my new decade will be my brand new start. ;)

Disappointed Day ;(

I was very sad today. Have been looking forward for today’s outing after church. Because of my busy schedule, I have not been shopping for some time and I thought today I can but……

I was planning to go One Utama after church to shop around and at the same time, to buy Lee Hom’s new album. I read from newspaper that every purchase of Lee Hom’s album this week, will entitled a free T-shirt. Very unfortunately I couldn’t make it. I went to One Utama, it was terribly jam. Then I went to The Curve, again, it was so jam. So I gave up & went home sadly. I’m really sad. Will try this week, hopefully still able to get the free t-shirt ler..

A Fruitful Week ;)

Wow! This week the majority of my working days were attending training. What a fantastic week! I like trainings..training is the way for improvement. ;) Allow me to share a bit of the trainings that I've attended:

a) Microsoft Excel 2003 (Advanced) - 7th & 8th May 2007
I've wanted to learn Pivot Table all these while & finally I have this chance. But can't imagine that this training not only taught me how to create a pivot table but also other skills such as subtotal & outlining, consolidation data, etc. It has really given a great help as I do a lot of data analysis everyday. ;)

b) Customer Service Skills - 12th May 2007
Even though it is just one day training, the lessons that I've learned has really benefited me. In this training I've learnt the words that should use & not to use. I guess everyone including me used to say "I'll try my best", "as soon as possible", "can I help you" & so on.. Actually in customer service line, we are not supposed to say these words especially ASAP. Cuz your soon may not be the same as customer's soon. We must provide customer an exact TIME.
It was a fun training & I really thank God for my company that provides us the trainings. The next training for me will be the Supervisory Skills training on 24th May 2007. I'm really looking forward. ;)

Another farewell..for Chee Yeng (27/4/07)

Chee Yeng is a very nice & soft spoken girl. She came onboard as a temp, assisting order centre since Dec '06. Time flies..it's been half a year she's with us. And now she's going to pursue her study. All the best girl!!

Actually I'm not really closed to Kristin. She is from the IT dept & I'm from Marketing dept. We only went for lunch a few times. Because of my job requires a lot of IT related, I need to get in touch with them very closely. That's why I'm here ;p

Mommy's Birthday (21/4/07)

It's my lovely mommy’s birthday.. Nowadays people hardly remind people on their birthdays but not my mom. She will keep on saying that her birthday is coming is coming...just like a little girl telling her frens on her big day. ;) Well, this is my mom! She is just so lovely & adorable & I love her very much. She is a mom that I will never miss to hug her everyday I came back from work. She is a superb mom that I ever had.

As usual, we had a family gathering quite often & especially when there is a big celebration, my sister, Lacerena will come back from Spore to join the fun. And this time was merrier that both my cousin sisters also came to celebrate my mom's birthday. Very nice of them.

Dish that we prepared for mom. Of course my little nephew also involved. He is doing chocolate fondue for us!!! Not kidding man...

These 2 are my lovely cousin sister..all the way from Klang to Sg Buloh. Girls, we really appreciate that. ;)

Tiramisu cake for mommy. Adrian (my nephew) will always be the first to get near to the cake eventhough is not his birthday. ;p

Offsite Meeting in Penang (12th-14th April '07)

I can't imagine that it's going to be one month that I did not update my blog. Work is like a war to me. Everyday work work work..weekends, holidays.. all work! What to do??!! It's bit hard when your responsibility gets higher. But anyway, I will still find time to relax. ;)

Sorry that my blog might be a bit outdates but I just wanna post the events that I experienced last month. This is the second offsite meeting that I joined my principal. The first one was the most memorable & enjoying ones. We went to Genting & this time was in Penang.

The most that I like & enjoy in Penang is the hotel & food of course. The room was really big for just 2 people. The sad thing is our time was fully occupied for meetings & team-building that I can't really enjoy myself in the room & jacuzzi that I have not try... :( I miss it...

Annoying Caller.. ;(

For the past few months, I have been receiving calls in the middle of the night (between 3am to 4am). I don't have any records of this 2 callers. I've tried to call the numbers during office hour but no one picks up.

It is so annoyed when people call at the odd time cuz I always leave my handphone on in case of any emergency. But even if it rings, I also don't dare to answer unless is the number that I know.

I really hope that these 2 callers were just dialing the wrong number & have no weird intention.

Henry's Birthday..

Wow, it's been a week plus that I didn't update my blog. How can I miss that..well, actually i am so busy with my work. That's why the only time i can update my blog is during weekend.

Last Saturday my sis & I went to Renaissance Hotel to celebrate my brother in-law's (Henry) birthday. I can't remember when was the last time I had buffet dinner or high tea in a hotel. I remember mom used to bring us go when we were young & we can really eat a lot during that time. ;p Now, not really a good eater.. guess must be the age.. (old liao).. ;p

Well, the buffet was really nice & delicious. Before we reach the hotel, Henry already kept on introducing the food such as oyster, muscles & the desert. He said everything is nice but pls don't eat rice, vege & those curry chicken..but eat a lot & a lot of oysters. I guess he is really crazy with oyster & muscles. Don't believe me?? see this...

We did not prepare any cake for Henry cuz it was not his actual birthday (it was belated one). But we will not let the celebration went like this. So Calista & I create something for him..sweet & nice little cake..

When the captain saw it, he told us that he can get a slice of cheesecake for Henry. Grr.... does he mean that our cake was not presentable enough?? hehe..just joking la..the captain just wanna treat Henry a special cake oni...

this is the one!! actually the deco also not bad lar... ;) but in the end, we ate up this slice of cake cuz it's so so so delicious. the cheese is so soft & just melt in our throat...yummy yummy...

We had a great time together & most probably we will go again this month...*sigh* more kilos added..hahaha....
